I’m thrilled to announce that I illustrated the poem, “Tracks in the Snow” by Heidi Bee Roemer in the newest issue of Ladybug Magazine. Now that winter is here in Minnesota, I often see tracks in the snow on my daily walks with my dog, Luna. Lots of animals leave their tracks here: squirrel, deer, fox, coyote, cardinal, crow, eagle, wild turkey, rabbit, cats, and dogs. I have fun identifying the different prints left behind. Check out these prints from a visitor on our porch.
My sister was one of the first subscribers to Cricket Magazine and she wouldn't share her coveted issues with me. My Mom, in hopes to end the squabbling, suggested I write and illustrate my own stories. I bet at the time she hoped to keep me occupied for five minutes but it actually sparked my life-long goal of becoming an author-illustrator. Thanks, Mom and sis!
